Hamilton to miss season after surgery

lundi 23 mai 2016

"His mindset is he will," general manager Jon Daniels said. "He is very convicted."

This will be the third surgery on the knee since Sept. 11. Hamilton had surgery that day and again on Oct. 28, but he still came to Spring Training dealing with inflammation in his left knee and began the season on the disabled list.

Hamilton played one game on medical rehabilitation assignment earlier this month, but he had to be shut down with more soreness. A second opinion showed the need for another surgery.

"It's a tough road for Josh," manager Jeff Banister said. "I know he wants to play, wants to compete and wants to be a part of it. It's another long road. It's a challenge."
