In a corresponding roster move Saturday, the Nationals recalled outfielder Brian Goodwin from Triple-A Syracuse. Goodwin, 25, would be making his MLB debut with his first game appearance. He hit .284 with 11 homers and 25 doubles in 109 games for Syracuse this season and was named an International League All-Star.
Goodwin was selected by the Nationals in the first round (No. 34 overall) of the 2011 MLB Draft out of Miami-Dade College.
