Bochy spent the night "resting comfortably" after "feeling ill," according to a statement the team released Monday.
Bochy guided the Giants to World Series championships in 2010, '12 and '14. He ranks 16th on the all-time managers' win list with 1,766 victories, and he has the Giants sitting atop the National League West standings by one game over the Dodgers.
Bench coach Ron Wotus managed the Giants to an 8-7, 14-inning win Monday night while filling in for Bochy.
