CarGo collects 1000th career hit vs. Reds

DENVER -- Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez collected his 1,000th career hit with his second double of Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Gonzalez lofted a one-out, sixth-inning pitch from Raisel Iglesias that dropped in front of a diving Reds center fielder Billy Hamilton. Noting that second wasn't covered, Gonzalez, a power hitter who used speed earlier in his career before a knee injury in 2014, alertly took second.
