Cespedes limping, could rest few days

Cespedes left Friday night's contest before the bottom of the eighth inning, following a slide into second base on his RBI double in the seventh. Mets manager Terry Collins said his outfielder's leg was swollen Saturday and is unsure of when Cespedes could return to the lineup.

"The bruise is pretty big. He's aggravated it, and he's limping pretty bad," Collins said. "Hopefully, today, maybe tomorrow, we'll get home and he'll be ready to go."

Cespedes went 1-for-4 with a double Friday night, also making a beautiful outfield assist at home plate that preserved the Mets' three-run lead in the fifth inning.

Cespedes is hitting .288 this season with 17 hits, five home runs and 14 RBIs.
