NEW YORK -- Wilmer Flores became the second Mets player ever to record six hits in a game on Sunday, going 6-for-6 in New York's 14-3 win over the Cubs at Citi Field.
Flores, whose batting average rose from .224 to .255 in the game, homered twice and singled four times against Cubs pitching. Edgardo Alfonzo is the only other Mets player to achieve that feat, going 6-for-6 with three home runs on Aug. 30, 1999.
