deGrom (3-1, 2.81 ERA) starts for the Mets in the rubber match against the White Sox this afternoon at Citi Field. The White Sox, who snapped a seven-game losing skid Tuesday, will counter with right-hander Miguel Gonzalez (0-1, 4.50). It's the first Interleague start for deGrom this year. He's 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA in four outings at home this season. Gonzalez, who has never faced the Mets, is 2-3 with a 4.15 ERA in seven career Interleague starts.

Murphy brings his MLB-leading .397 average into tonight's series finale against the Phillies, as the Nationals go for a three-game sweep. The second baseman is riding a 10-game hit streak and went 2-for-4 on Tuesday to finish with a .416 average (47-for-113) in May. He's 0-for-2 lifetime against Phillies lefty starter Adam Morgan (1-3, 6.67). The Nationals will give the ball to Scherzer (5-4, 4.05), who is 5-1 with a 2.38 ERA in eight career starts against the Phils.

The Yankees will ask Tanaka (3-0, 2.89) to be their stopper as they try to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the rival Blue Jays, who have won six of eight meetings overall this year. Tanaka has been great away from home this season and leads the American League with a 1.34 ERA on the road. Toronto is on a roll, winning nine of its last 12 games. Blue Jays starters are 5-2 in that stretch, with Aaron Sanchez (4-1, 3.29) looking to continue the rotation's success tonight.

Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is 0-for-15 against Blue Jays pitching this season, while outfielder Brett Gardner is 0-for-24.

Meanwhile, Mike Bolsinger (1-1, 4.50) makes his third start for the Dodgers since coming off the disabled list.

The Dodgers are 13-7 at Wrigley Field since 2011, the best record among any National League club (minimum 10 games played).
